First digitalSTROM Hackathon Berlin

We successfully integrated devices into the digitalSTROM smart home that could not be integrated until now. Using the digitalSTROM virtual Device API, it is now possible to integrate IP based devices with little effort. Even devices using other communication bus technologies like ZigBee, enocean, DALI, DMX etc. can incorporated in the digitalSTROM System.

Various teams achieved considerable success:

The integration of Netatmo indoor and outdoor sensors  provides the measured values to the digitalSTROM System. Developers find sample code here: netatmo-ui , netatmo-vdc

An Elsner weather station was integrated using a serial RS485 connection. This integration expands the number of useful sensors for the smart home considerably. Outside temperature, precipitation, wind speed, solar radiation, brightness and twilight are available to the digitalSTROM system. Click here for the source code: Elsner Weather Station via RS485
